Universities wanting to start a Racquet Sports Management Program.

Build the Next Generation of Racquet Sports Professionals – Starting Now

The racquet sports industry has a growing problem: demand for qualified coaches is exploding, but the pipeline of trained professionals is shrinking.

RacquetSportsU was created to solve that problem by helping colleges and universities attract, train, and retain the next generation of racquet sports coaches and leaders.

Founded by industry leaders Scott Schultz, Dr. Mark Kovacs, and Jorge Capestany, RacquetSportsU provides a ready-to-launch, turnkey Racquet Sports Management (RSM) curriculum designed specifically for higher education.

If your institution is looking to:

  • Launch a new academic offering

  • Differentiate your sports or business programs

  • Create real-world career pathways for students

  • Respond to the nationwide shortage of qualified racquet sports professionals

You’re in the right place.

Why RacquetSportsU Exists

For years, the racquet sports industry has struggled with a critical shortage of trained coaches and managers. Colleges recognize the opportunity, but most face the same obstacle:

They don’t have a proven racquet sports curriculum ready to implement.

That’s where RacquetSportsU comes in.

We remove the guesswork by providing a tested, flexible, and immediately deployable curriculum that allows institutions to start right away, without building a program from scratch.

How It Works

Every school is different. That’s why our process starts with a one-on-one discovery call.

During this call, we:

  • Learn about your institution’s goals and structure

  • Identify the best program fit (major, minor, concentration, or certificate)

  • Share real-world examples of successful RSM programs

  • Map out a clear path to implementation

Our Co-Founder, Scott Schultz, brings unmatched expertise, having founded the nation’s first-ever Racquet Sports Management program and helped launch dozens of successful programs during his tenure with the USTA.

This call is FREE and designed to give you clarity, not a sales pitch.

Program Offerings

We currently offer two proven entry points, allowing schools to start small or scale quickly.

LEVEL 1: Assistant Coach Certificate (Approx. 6 hours)

An ideal starting point for institutions looking to introduce students to coaching as a career path.

This certificate:

  • Provides a clear, structured entry into tennis coaching

  • Works well as a standalone credential or stackable component

  • Prepares students for part-time or full-time coaching roles

Students complete six practical, on-court courses focused on essential coaching skills, fundamentals, and professional readiness.

LEVEL 2: Racquet Sports Management Certificate (RSMC) (Approx. 24 hours)

Designed for students—and institutions—ready to go deeper.

The RSMC builds on the Assistant Coach Certificate and delivers a comprehensive pathway into one of the fastest-growing segments of the sports industry.

This 24-course program is divided into six focused units covering:

  • Advanced coaching development

  • Industry operations and leadership

  • Business, management, and career pathways

  • Real-world application from industry professionals

Students learn directly from experienced coaches, directors, and innovators who have built successful careers in racquet sports—giving them a powerful competitive edge after graduation.

Let’s Explore What’s Possible for Your Institution

Whether you’re exploring ideas or ready to move forward, the fastest way to determine fit is a conversation.

Your free discovery call will help you:

  • Understand how RacquetSportsU fits your institution

  • Identify the right program structure

  • See how quickly you could launch

  • Decide if this opportunity aligns with your goals
